There has been a QC disaster with the most recent update (Oct. 21st. 2024).  By fixing one sound-mode bug, a new bug has been created: there is no sound-mode displayed in the options menu on initial boot. It is only the display, the game worked as intended.

FIXED.

We are very sorry for that. The QC department have been punished accordingly: 8 hours “Shadow of the Beast” in the ATARI ST version.

If you have downloaded the 1.01a version, here is a simple workaround:

1. go into the “OPTIONS & HELP” menu.
2. If the “Sound mode:” shows no sound mode and you do not see any other menu point active, just press space. The sound-mode should appear.
3. select the sound mode of your choice.
4. Select “SAVE PERMANENT”. 
5. Done.

From now on you should have a sound-mode displayed.
