Update after first event use

After the first events with SHOTGUN, this update addresses some findings:

  • NEW: When the game is set arcade mode (SHIFT-A) it now displays “START GAME (PRESS SPACE)” to show players how to start the game.
  • IMPROVED: the game presets (Key 6-0) have been updated based on the most played variations.
  • FIX: when a sound mode (MUSIC, FX) was permanently set in the options screen, it was not correctly read on the next boot. FIXED
  • FIX: when sound mode was set to FX only, music was still played at the tournament main screen. FIXED
  • FIX: TT-Ram/ALT-Ram seems not to work with this game. Usage of this RAM has been disabled even when present in the system.
  • KNOWN ISSUE: The game is designed for 50Hz. The ST/STe is simply not fast enough for run the game on full 60Hz. There is a warning screen that offers to change to 50Hz by pressing F10. However, there seems to be some configuration (TT, Falcon) where this not possible. Hitting F10 on these machines does not change anything. On the other side: these machines are easily capable to run the game on 60Hz. It just runs even faster.
  • KNOWN ISSUE: in rare occasions the joystick/keyboard code may stall and controlling the players is no longer possible. The root cause has not been fond yet. However there is a workaround in place: every 15 second the code is reset… just wait a moment and the player control should come back.
In four full days on two events the stall was witnessed a single time, and the reset worked as intended.
